Open for Comment: Airworthiness Directives; Airbus Helicopters

Transportation Department — The FAA proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Airbus Helicopters Model AS355E, AS355F, AS355F1, AS355F2, and AS355N helicopters. This proposed AD was prompted by the determination that the tail rotor drive fan wheels (fan wheels) and the impeller second stage have been incorrectly identified during production. This proposed AD would require verifying the serial number and amendment of the log cards of the affected parts, and depending on the findings, performing a one-time borescope inspection to verify consistency between the log cards and the affected parts. Depending on the inspection results, this proposed AD would require replacing or re- identifying certain parts. This proposed AD would also prohibit the installation of certain fan wheels and impeller second stages on any helicopter. The FAA is proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products. (46 days remaining)

Open for Comment: Airworthiness Directives; Airbus Canada Limited Partnership (Type Certificate Previously Held by C Series Aircraft Limited Partnership (CSALP); Bombardier, Inc.) Airplanes

Transportation Department — The FAA proposes to supersede Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2022-25-05, which applies to certain Airbus Canada Limited Partnership Model BD-500-1A10 and BD-500-1A11 airplanes. AD 2022-25-05 requires repetitive cleaning and greasing of all slat tracks to prevent damage or corrosion; doing repetitive inspections of the slat tracks for any damage or corrosion, and the correct application of grease; and applicable corrective actions. Since the FAA issued AD 2022-25-05, it has been discovered that previous slat track repairs required the use of inappropriate non-destructive test (NDT) methods and, therefore, may have allowed cracks to remain undetected on slat tracks that were previously repaired. This proposed AD would continue to require the actions in AD 2022-25-05 and would require a rework NDT inspection on all slat tracks previously repaired using an inappropriate NDT method. The FAA is proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products. (44 days remaining)

Open for Comment: Airworthiness Directives; General Electric Company Engines

Transportation Department — The FAA proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain General Electric Company (GE) Model CF34-1A, CF34-3A, CF34- 3A1, CF34-3A2, and CF34-3B engines. This proposed AD was prompted by a dual engine power loss event and consequent manufacturer investigation, which revealed corrosion in the high-pressure compressor (HPC) case affecting the variable geometry (VG) system. This proposed AD would require performing certain restart tests and, depending on the results of the tests, additional actions. This proposed AD would also require performing a borescope inspection (BSI) of the HPC case for corrosion and, depending on the results, a VG system functional check for pressure evaluation. This proposed AD would also require, depending on inspection results, performing a force gage test on the feedback cable for tightness and a visual inspection of the VG system for obstruction and, if necessary, removal of the engine from service. This proposed AD would also require revising the airworthiness limitations section (ALS) of the existing engine maintenance manual to incorporate the VG system functional check. The FAA is proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products. (41 days remaining)

This proposed AD was prompted by reports of cracking on the ejector ducts. This proposed AD would require repetitively inspecting the left-hand (LH) side and right-hand (RH) side ejector ducts, including the exhaust bracket reinforcements and reinforcement plates, and, depending on the results, replacing any affected ejector duct. The FAA is proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products. (47 days remaining)

Open for Comment: Airworthiness Directives; Airbus SAS Airplanes

Transportation Department — The FAA proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Airbus SAS Model A330-200 and A330-300 series airplanes modified by a certain supplemental type certificate (STC). This proposed AD was prompted by a finding that, for airplanes with a flightcrew oxygen system supplied by a single oxygen cylinder, the oxygen supply would be insufficient under all circumstances for extended operations (ETOPS) with a with a maximum diversion time of 180 minutes (ETOPS-180) with four flightcrew members. This proposed AD would require revising the existing Airplane Flight Manual Supplement (AFM-S) to limit ETOPS-180 operations to three flightcrew members, as applicable, and correct minimum oxygen dispatch pressure information. The FAA is proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products. (47 days remaining)

Open for Comment: Airworthiness Directives; Textron Aviation Inc. Airplanes

Transportation Department — The FAA proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Textron Aviation, Inc., Model 408 airplanes. This proposed AD would require revising the Airworthiness Limitations Section (ALS) of the existing AMM or instructions for continued airworthiness (ICA) and the existing approved maintenance or inspection program, as applicable. The FAA is proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products. (47 days remaining)

Open for Comment: Airworthiness Directives; Bombardier, Inc., Airplanes

Transportation Department — The FAA proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Bombardier, Inc., Model BD-700-2A12 airplanes. This proposed AD was prompted by reports of missing or under torqued fasteners on the slat 2 cove rib 6 brackets. This proposed AD would require a general visual inspection (GVI) of affected fasteners on slat 2 cove rib 6 brackets to determine if all fasteners are installed and applicable on-condition actions. The FAA is proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products. (46 days remaining)

Open for Comment: Airworthiness Directives; Airbus SAS Airplanes

AD 2025-16-12 requires revising the existing airplane flight manual (AFM) and the existing FAA-approved minimum equipment list (MEL), allows replacement of each affected high-pressure bleed valve (HPV) as an optional terminating action, and prohibits the installation of affected parts. Since the FAA issued AD 2025-16-12, the FAA has determined repetitive replacement of the HPV clips is necessary to address the unsafe condition. This proposed AD would continue to require the actions in AD 2025-16-12 and would require repetitive replacement of each affected HPV clip. The FAA is proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products. (47 days remaining)
